- Gastroenterology
Dr. Abraham is originally from India but was raised in New Jersey and Maryland. Inspired by her father, who is a physician, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a doctor. Her parents encouraged her and supported her to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Abraham went to college and medical school in Boston. She met and married my husband in Philadelphia, while doing her residency. She moved to Dallas for her gastroenterology fellowship at UT Southwestern. She have 2 grown sons and they enjoy physical fitness, including tennis and cycling. They love to travel and had the pleasure of experiencing different cultures.
As part of her practice, Dr. Abraham reserves enough time for her patients to be able to ask questions and understand their diagnoses and treatments. She believes in treating the “whole person” and not just their current complaint. Educating her patients is a very important part of her practice so that they have an understanding of their health issues and their bodies. Dr. Abraham considers it a privilege to provide and to be entrusted with the medical care of her patients. She has had the pleasure of taking care of multiple members of the same family and their friends over her many years in practice.
